Lagenwein

The Kleine Kalmit is the highest elevation fronting the Haardtrand in the Rhine Valley, and was formed from lime and shell deposits left behind by the primeval sea some 27 million years. Its name is derived from the Latin “calvus mons”, which roughly translates as “bare mountain”.
